JumbotronAthletics at BCS seek to develop the character of our students through good-spirited competition. Sports stand beside and support the values of our school by developing well rounded student athletes that show selflessness, confidence and poise. We conduct our athletic program in the same way we conduct our academic programming – with excellence and the desire to glorify God. The concepts of self-control, individual sacrifice for the greater goals of the whole, courage, and humility are of emphasis. The BCS Athletics program represents the school community and Christ in all activity. While we compete to win, we keep things in perspective - acting honorably toward opponents, fans, and officials, demonstrating modesty and graciousness in both victory and defeat.

We are part of the Southeast Michigan Athletic Conference (SMAC), Michigan Christian School Athletics Association (MCSAA), and National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA).

Coaches

Our coaches are one of the most significant components of the athletic program andCoaching (Small) we are so grateful to have Christian role models that are committed to fulfilling the mission of BCS Athletics. As an integral part of our student athletes’ development, our coaches are not only knowledgeable in their sport, but they also provide the most important responsibility of discipleship. Thank you to each one of our 28 coaches who have dedicated their time and talents to assisting student–athletes reach their potential. Your care is appreciated!

Volunteers

It takes a village! We could not do what we do without the support of parent volunteers. A big thank you to those who invested in BCS sports and demonstrated what it looks like to serve others well. From setting up to scoring, popping popcorn to cleaning up, your service and involvement was greatly appreciated!

Updates

All head varsity coaches received CPR certification as well as most assistant or sub-varsity coaches. GoFan has been added for digital ticketing and cashless concessions payment options. We began a corporate partnership with a local restaurant-Beyond Juicery-launching a fundraiser for Athletics during the month of May (20% of BCS generated sales were returned).

Student-Athletes

All our student-athletes balance the rigors of the classroom while also participating in sports. It is commendable to note that over half of our female student-athletes were able to maintain a 3.75 or higher GPA while in-season, earning them the recognition of being named to the “All-SMACademicTeam”!

Join us for our upcoming Dec. 9th Preschool Story Time at 10:30 AM.
